The desktop_ie10 segment is compromise to meet IE halfway. It hardly makes any sense anymore, but we'll keep it for another round. Giving it its own segment is the most flexible approach as developers can then individually decide how to group it with other segments.

As of December 2017 this segment has almost been emptied. It still occurs in the stats, but with less than 0.5 % of the desktop browsers and less than 0.25% of all browsers (across all device types).

Browser requirements:

The desktop_ie10 segment is defined by the following criteria:

  • Primary input method is mouse or trackpad
  • Screen width of a minimum of 800 pixels
  • Browser is Internet Explorer 10

The desktop_ie10 segment does NOT support the following features:

  • Dataset
  • WebGL

Other browsers of that age supported these features and you may need special libraries to support this browser.
