The NetFront mobile browser is produced by Japanese company Access Co. Ltd. By 2011 the NetFront browser has been embedded in more than 1 billion devices. The browser is still being embedded in devices but is no longer considered an important player.

Generally speaking this browser is mostly embedded in mobile devices with a very small screen and weak hardware, though also used in some gaming consoles like the PS3 and Nintendo 3DS. The upside is a very low power consumption.

Version history starts at version 3. There is virtually no information available about any versions prior to version 3.
